Review & Swatches | Karrueche x ColourPop She Palette

she palette

Karrueche and ColourPop are back at it again! They have released another collaboration collection that featured several pieces, including this gorgeous palette, the She palette. This is part of the Fem Rosa collection which included three lippies, a face palette, and this eyeshadow palette.

she palette

Now, ColourPop is known for their Super Shock Shadows that come in special packaging so they do not dry out, but awhile back they released pressed eyeshadows! This palette is in that form and, let me tell you, their pressed shadows are just as amazing as their SSS.

inside she palette

This palette just screams Valentine’s Day to me. I can’t wait to break it out for some feminine looks during that time of the year. In the palette, you get 12 eyeshadows and it retails for $16.00 USD. At about $1.33 per shadow, there is no beating this quality.

top row she

This row, the top one, features three metallic shades and the one and only satin in the palette. The swatches top to bottom align with the palette from left to right: Ladylike, Babe, Dainty, and Chick. These are the much more light and soft colors if you want a very feminine look without going too dark or sultry.

middle row she

The second row features all metallic shades and it gets into more of the dark colors that I am drawn to. From top to bottom, we have Mademoiselle, Gal, Empress, and Filly.

bottom row she

The third and final row features all matte shades to help with blending and making that smokey or seamless look with the previous shadows. I have successfully created an entire look with this palette so it is definitely possible with the shades provided. This row, from top to bottom, is Dear, Missy, Damsel, and Duchess.

The pigment in these shadows is unreal and you can’t beat with a stick for that price. I highly recommend this palette to those who love the reddish, pink, and warmer shades. It is currently out of stock but be sure you get your hands on it once it comes back!

Review & Swatches: ColourPop Birthday Collection

birthday collection

Back at it again with the ColourPop swatches! I can’t help it, ColourPop is just way too affordable and such amazing quality. I am obsessed with this collection because it was themed after holographic. I don’t know if this was on purpose but I am living for it. The birthday collection for the “Big 3” is on point! The pressed eyeshadows especially are calling my name. I can’t wait to get these on my lid (just know how much I love you guys because I’ve been saving these until I could swatch them for you all).

birthday collection

Please tell me someone noticed the awesome “birthday cake” set-up I did with the collection photo above??? I tried really hard, guys! Anyway, above are all the pieces to the amazing collection they released for their 3rd birthday. They have done a limited edition Super Shock Shadow in the past (i.e. Birthday Boy and Birthday Girl) but never a collection, to my knowledge, so this was exciting for us all. Below are swatches and the shade names for the all as well as what the product is!

pressed shadows

Top to bottom (pressed shadows): Cakewalk, Party Favors, Rager, The Big 3

Top to bottom: Birthday Cake (super shock shadow), Blow Me Out (super shock cheek), RSVP, Wishes, Bash (ultra glossy lips)

Overall, I am impressed as usual with the quality that ColourPop puts out! I am super excited to play with this collection more. Did any of you get this collection? What did you think? Let me know in the comments.

Review & Swatches: ColourPop Summer Collection

ColourPop has been coming out with waaay too much here lately. I cannot keep up! I did, however, get a few little tidbits from collections they’ve released, the summer one being the target of this blog post. I don’t know that I have all of the products in the summer collection in here, because I only buy what I think I’d use, but they’ve got some GORGEOUS stuff in this collection and I’m obsessed. I do think a couple of these shades aren’t actually part of the collection but they were ones I didn’t think I had so I just included them in here.

summer collection

So, the first ones I swatched were my go-to Super Shock Shadows. Now, everyone who’s been using ColourPop for awhile knows that these were what basically made them huge among the beauty community. I love their SSS and they will always have a special place in my heart… but these pressed shadows, oh my gosh… they are amazing! Below are swatches of all the shadows, with captions telling you what the shades are.

super shock shadows

From left to right: Dance Party, Cusp, Ibiza, Banana Daiquiri, Sugar

pressed shadows

From left to right: Salt Water, Two Piece, Tiny Tangerines

I am beyond excited that they brought back Ibiza, after everyone and their mama was asking for it to come back. I think they were just waiting for the exact moment, knowing them and their “last call sales”. 😉 #iseeyoucolourpop

So, what do you guys think of the collection? Did I miss something you love in the collection? Let me know in the comments!

Blogmas Day 18 | Mini ColourPop Haul + Swatches

mini colourpop haul and swatches

I got a small order from ColourPop Cosmetics a little while ago. They came back out with some of their previously discontinued eyeshadow shades so I wanted to get my hands on them before/if they weren’t going to be offered anymore. They are all gorgeous every day, wearable colors that I love. I also got four brushes, two shader brushes and two blender brushes, for free because of my eyeshadow purchase. I have not tried out these brushes yet but if you guys would like a full review on their quality with ColourPop shadows and/or other shadows, let me know in the comments below.

From left to right: two shader brushes, two blending brushes

From top to bottom: Valley Girl, Cheap Date, Birthday Girl, Game Face, Prickly Pear, Boy Band, Hot Tamale, Moonshine

These are all shimmery shades of some sort and I’m obsessed. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know that anything shimmery in the eyeshadow department is my absolute favorite. These shadows are just as amazing quality as all other ColourPop Super Shock Shadows have been in the past for me. I definitely think I love Cheap Date and Prickly Pear the most of all of the ones I ordered, which was a huge surprise as I was not expecting those to be my favorites. I give these a 10/10, would buy again!

Blogmas Day 8 | HUGE ColourPop Haul

huge colourpop haul

Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales on ColourPop’s website were out of control! They had different deals pretty much every day throughout the weekend. It was an incredible time for them and an awful time for my bank account… which means I have a haul for you! I definitely won’t be purchasing anything else recreational anytime soon but I think I stocked up enough during these sales that I won’t need to. I got everything from liquid lipsticks (in both their Ultra Matte and Ultra Satin formulas) to eyeshadows to highlighters of all kinds. I got doubles of many things (including the Cat Nap and Puppy Love shadows that donate to an animal rescue).

I’ll have all the product names listed in order from top to bottom and left to right after the photos.

How-To | Repurpose ColourPop Cosmetics Delivery Boxes

repurposing colourpop cosmetics boxes

One of the best parts of getting ColourPop Cosmetics orders in, other than getting all your beauty goodies, is getting those gorgeous boxes… but then we just… throw them away? NO! Reduce, reuse, recycle, man. You can totally reuse those to make the most adorable storage boxes for your ColourPop products or really anything you want cute organization for. The patterns don’t stay the same but if you order frequently, you can get several of the same types of boxes and theme your organization in your home!

I have found the best method to take this…

and make it look like this!

Minus my huge (this is only a portion) collection of ColourPop goodies. If you’re interested in making use of your delivery boxes, follow the instructions given in this super simple and quick tutorial.

Step #1: Get a ColourPop box that you have lying around your house (you know you keep ’em).

Step #2: Carefully, pull up on either side of the box (while open) while also pushing slightly down on the bottom of the inside of the box until you pop the tab out of the precut hole in the box. Put it out so it is free from the insert hole.

Step #3: Repeat Step #2 with the other side. Once you have finished, it should look something like this:

Step #4: Turn over the box so you see the white side and start bending all of the pre-bent areas backwards (inwards).

Step #5: Cut off the top part (where the lid begins and the side flaps attached to it).

Step #6: Fold forward the flap directly in front of you and pull the opposite sides flap next to it with the opposite side on the outside. This should create the first half of the box. Secure it into place by pulling the flap you previously removed inward and securing it into that same tab slot on the inside of the box.

Step #7: Repeat Step 6 to complete the folding process. The box should then look like this:

Now, you could just stop right here! It is a perfectly secure box that would look very swanky as a storage container. However, I am very OCD and want things to look as neat and tidy as possible. So, I’ve added in some extra steps to make it look less DIY and more FABULOUS!

Step #8: Take the lid that you cut off and remove everything but the face that says “ColourPop” on it. This should leave a plain rectangle.

Step #9: Once you are finished, insert it into the bottom of the box to make for an extra decorative touch. If you are not using your box for ColourPop, you could always put out some matching cardstock or scrapbook paper to fit inside the bottom without using the ColourPop logo.

Step #10: Take the top flap from the lid (the long piece) that you just cut off and cut off the two side parts that previously folded into the box (the small parts). Insert this behind the cardboard on the inside of the box on the back wall of the box to secure it into place and add the pattern to the back.

Once you have that done, you are finished! You can also use the extra pieces to add in dividers (as shown in my finished product above) so you can organize the box even more. Here is a photo of the finished product:

My ColourPop Collection: Super Shock Shadows

One of my favorite affordable brands would definitely have to be ColourPop Cosmetics. They have amazing products at such an affordable price point. Not only are their products affordable… they are some of the best quality I have ever tried. Some of my favorite products by them include their eyebrow pencils, their Ultra Satin lips, and, of course, their eyeshadows – which is what I’m going to be talking about. Today, I’m going to share with you all my ColourPop Super Shock shadow collection! I definitely don’t have as many as some people, but I have a good start going with some of my favorite shades that I’ve seen of theirs. I definitely want to add to my collection (and, of course, I’ll do an updated collection post once it grows more!) but I wanted to show you all the quality and amazingness that is ColourPop!

Single Eyeshadows

individual shadows

From the top row down and left to right we have, Nillionaire, La Le, and Kaepop’s Sunset Blvd. Next is Birthday Boy, Liberty, and Krinkle. Last, but certainly not least, is Flower Shop, Empire, and Coconut.

I only have 9 of their single shadows as I started off only buying quads with them because I wanted to test out multiple formulas, without being biased to one that looked super amazing (because I have a habit of getting all shimmery shadows… if you couldn’t tell ?). Below are swatches of the above shadows!

Clockwise, starting in the top left, we have Un, Deux, Trois, and Quatre.

I currently have three of their eyeshadow quads and they are all in collaboration with famous YouTubers! The three quads I have are Where The Light Is and Where The Night Is by KathleenLights and Jenn Ne Sais Quoi by Jenn Im (If you couldn’t tell, I LOVE KathleenLights.) As I said above, I got these because I wanted to try more formulas in shades that I knew I’d love. Plus, supporting YouTubers is always awesome! Below are the swatches of these lovely quads.

And that is ALL of my current ColourPop Super Shock Shadow collection. I adore these eyeshadows and will continue to keep purchasing them as long as they continue to have this quality. I love that they support YouTubers and do collaborations with them as well as offer a wide variety of products. They’re always have limited edition items and new products being released so they’re definitely staying on top! Check out their website if you’d like to shop some of these I have mentioned!
